1982年公開（米国1981年作品）犯罪アクション映画『シャーキーズ・マシーン』は、監督・主演に Burt Reynolds、共演に Rachel Ward および Vittorio Gassman を迎え、アトランタの麻薬捜査官トム・シャーキーが失敗した潜入捜査の末に風俗部門へ左遷され、高級売春組織と政治腐敗の渦の中で“シャーキーのマシーン”と呼ばれる捜査チームを結成して真実へ迫る物語です。
Sharky’s Machine (1982 Japanese screening of the 1981 film) is a crime-thriller directed by and starring Burt Reynolds, with Rachel Ward and Vittorio Gassman among the cast. Reynolds plays Atlanta narcotics sergeant Tom Sharky, who after a botched bust is reassigned to the vice squad and uncovers a high-class prostitution ring linked to a powerful politician; he forms his “machine” of misfit detectives to bring down the conspiracy.
